Enjoying God

 “You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal
pleasures at your right hand.”
Psalm 16:11

“God wants us to enjoy life in His presence in the routine rhythms of life, confident that He enjoys us! When we turn our attention to Him, He enables us to live with our minds cleared of the things that distract us from Him.  God wants us to enjoy being present with Him in our day-to-day activities, realizing that He is right here with us - enjoying us!

Perfect Peace

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Isaiah 26:3

Did you know you can build your confidence in God? It grows the more we meditate on His Word, know who He is, and draw near to Him through prayer. Confidently trusting the Lord brings many blessings:

• Spiritual Growth. Relying on God means we respond to difficulties by seeking Him for guidance and strength. In turn, we experience the Holy Spirit’s presence, provision, and power and, as a result, spiritual growth. We’ll be capable of accomplishments far better than we imagined when our assurance comes from the Lord (Ephesians 3:20).

• Peace. When our security rests in God and we show conviction about His promises, peace follows. Isaiah 26:3 says, “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.” Our calm demeanor will waver, however, when we mix trusting Him with relying on ourselves.

This Is The Day

“This is the day the Lord has made,
rejoice and let us be glad in it.”
Psalms 118:24

Each day is a rich and precious gift from God, with new grace and new opportunities.  Jesus says that we have only this one day, and we must not be anxious for the day tomorrow. Even though it has gone badly before, it can be completely new and glorious today. If there is something that bothers our conscience from the past, we have abundant grace and power to bring it in order today.

Let us rejoice

As the Word says, let us be glad and rejoice over each day. It is the Lord who has made it and planned it for us. He is faithful and takes care that today we will not be tempted and tried beyond our ability to bear. We also know that today all things will work together for our good. (Romans 8:28) Today the good works are being prepared for us, and we will have abundant grace and strength to walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
