God’s Beautiful Creation

“God saw all that he had made, and
it was very good.”
Genesis 1:31

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth with intention and precision. He spoke galaxies into existence, formed mountains and valleys, filled the seas with life, and adorned the earth with things of various colors and shapes. He surveyed His creation, declaring it to be “very good” (Gen. 1:31).

Beholding the wonders of creation allows us to catch a glimpse of divine artistry. The vibrant hues of a sunset, the delicate intricacy of a butterfly’s wings, and the grandeur of mountain ranges—all bear witness to the God’s endless wisdom and creativity.

Getting caught up in the mundane moments of life can make it easy to overlook the beauty around us. But when we slow down enough to take in God’s creation, it’s hard not to be filled with awe and gratitude. Each sunrise, chirping bird, and rustling leaf speaks of the Creator’s love for us. God’s declaration that His creation is “very good” reminds us of the inherent worth of all He has made, including us.

Pause for a moment to step outside and behold the beauty of God’s creation. Whether you look at a single blade of grass or the expanse of the sky, remember it all reflects the goodness of our Creator, who made every bit of it with love.

The Power of the Holy Spirit

“May the God of Hope fill you with all
joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you my overflow with hope by
the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13

The Spirit whom God in Christ sends us is a strong Spirit to give us help and hope in times of need. The Spirit revives, strengthens and reinvigorates. He inspires enthusiasm (from en theos, which means "in God"). The Spirit puts new heart and courage into us when we lose heart and get discouraged.

God’s Mercy

“Because of the tender mercy of our God, by
which the rising sun will come to us from the heaven
to shine on those living in darkness and in
the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

“The reviving light of knowledge of the glory of God can only be seen in face of Lord Jesus Christ.  He is the morning light of God’s grace.  He is the Light who alone gives life  and hope and peace and love.”

The Olive Tree

“But I am like an olive tree
flourishing in the house of God; I trust
in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.”
Psalm 52:8

“The olive tree and olive branch have been symbols of peace and reconciliation ever since the account of Noah’s flood. When the dove brought Noah “a plucked olive leaf in its beak,” the olive branch represented new life sprouting on the earth (Genesis 8:11). The olive tree was alive and growing. The promise of the dove’s olive branch was a new beginning for humanity, peace and reconciliation with God, renewal, and revival. The slow and hearty growth of the olive tree also implies establishment and peace. Some of the oldest olive trees in the world still grow today in the Garden of Gethsemane on
the Mount of Olives.”
